We think the Jamie and Claire Outlander Tour of Scotland is as close as you can get in a week on a Diana Gabalon tour inspired adventure of our heroes. Some of our highlights include an exclusive visit to a Private "Lallybroch" Estate while you'll have the option to Stay in a 17th century Castle, or search for Nessie on a Loch Ness Boat Trip or try your hand at Pony Trekking. We'll experience the paths and hills of the Scottish Highlands and also explore the cobbled streets of Edinburgh to search for the area of Madame Jeanne's and the reunion at A. Malcolm Printer. We will witness parts of the battle and pay our respects to the fallen at Culloden Battlefield. We'll look for the elusive Stone of craigh na dun that brought Claire into Jamie Fraser's life. We'll admire the surrounding countryside of Lallybroch on foot, and stay in some traditional accommodations of the Highlands. We'll visit the romantic wee chapel like the one Claire and James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser were joined in a Handfasting marriage. There will be time for traditonal celtic music, Gàidhlig lessons and Storytelling of the 18th century with a Highland Storyteller as one of your guides. We are devoted Jamie and Claire fans and have created experiences that best reflect the atmosphere of their adventures and life in the 1700s, without non-book filler.
We've chosen the locations and experiences closest to the first 3 books in the Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon. However, these are places that will appeal to everyone interested in the magnificance of Scotland. Walking is essential to this tour, (although not arduous if you're in fairly good condition and have good, healthy lungs) as we leave the vehicle at each destination and put on our hiking boots, (unlike poor Claire, who kept losing 18th century fru-fru slip-on shoes along the way) and enjoy the beauty around us.

This adventure is for Outlandish Spirits; both guys and gals, readers and their non-reader partners. People who want to explore the real Highlands of Scotland. Someone brave enough to leave the city and shopping behind and go hiking through a woodland or straight up a wee hill, clamber around in the heather, enjoy gorgeous mountains and lochs, explore ancient ruins and castles, meet real Highland folk, try new foods, partake in a bit of Usige Beatha, breathe, be quirky, and be open to new experiences. Anyone can be an Outlandish Spirit - many people are and just don't know it until they get away from their 'normal' environments and have an adventure in the Highlands.
