The Small Print

Included in the tour cost:
~ All accommodation (6 to 8 nights depending on tour): See the FAQ page for details
~ Daily breakfast, three evening meals and most lunches
~ Evening group entertainment including Highland Tales
~ Driver Guide transportation
~ Tour guides (DG fans and a kilt-wearing Highlander)
~ All Entrance fees and applicable taxes

Not Included:
~ Flight and other Travel expenses before/after tour
~ Any form of telecommunication
~ 1 or 2 lunches and free-night, non-group evening meals
~ Laundry
~ Medical expenses
~ Alcoholic Beverages
~ Personal travel insurance

Optional extras
~ Pony Trekking or Horse Riding option - £40, 60 and £100 ~ two hour, half day and full day
~ Spend a night in a castle like Leoch or a Scottish Baronial Mansion
(must book early) approximately £95 to 115 (per person, double/twin sharing) upgrade. I can confirm price on enquiry.
Optional extras are booked during the initial stages, after your enquiry.

Other tour information

IMPORTANT: THESE ARE NON-SMOKING TOURS. Smoking is not permitted between 8am and the finish of each day (sometime between 5pm and 9pm) There is also no smoking in any accommodation, or in and around public spaces in Scotland, by law.

If you wish to join any tours, you must be signed on and your deposit received 12 weeks prior to the date you've chosen.
A deposit of 300 pounds is required to book your space and is only refundable up until 6 months prior to the tour date you've signed on with. Deposit is refunded, less any bank charges and an admin fee of 25 pounds.
Balance is due 10 weeks prior to all tours.
All payments are made in Pounds Sterling.
We can advise on the best payment methods for you to use.

Your journey will begin and end in Edinburgh city centre, a short and direct bus ride from Edinburgh Intl airport. We can advise travelers coming through Glasgow (GLA) or Prestwick.

It is HIGHLY recommended that when booking your inbound flight, that you aim to arrive at least 24hrs early.
There are two very good reasons for this
a) if you are coming long distance, then you will have a chance to recover from jet lag and thus enjoy the first days of the tour more.
b) if you are late in arrival, then you will miss the tour start. We cannot wait. So far, 50% of our guests have suffered delay via airlines. Luckily they all took our advice and had time built in.

For single travelers requiring a private room: I will endeavor to meet your requirements, where possible, to the best of my abilities, within the "double occupancy" norm in Scotland.
